Immediately southwest of Minneapolis in Hennepin County, Edina is a perfect community to many who want to enjoy the city feel and proximity with the comforts of suburban living. Many major highways are close to the city of Edina, making it easy to get anywhere else in the metro, as well as convenient to commuters.

Edina boasts nearly 40 parks and recreational facilities, including Arneson Acres, Braemar Arena, Braemar Golf Courses, Braemar Golf Dome, Centennial Lakes Park, Edina Aquatic Center, Edina Art Center, Edina Senior Center, indoor Edinborough Park, Fred Richards Executive Golf Course and a dozen warming houses.

Edina is a hotbed for shopping, anchored by Southdale Center (the first fully indoor mall in the United States), and upscale mall Galleria. Other shopping centers include Yorktown and Centennial Lakes Plaza. Downtown Edina at 50th & France is a mixed business, retail and shopping district located within a residential area. You’ll find charming walkways, over 20 restaurants, and enjoy special public events throughout the year like the 50-year strong Edina Art Fair, Crazy Days and Pumpkin Fest.

Edina Public Schools are a nationally recognized suburban public school district serving approximately 8,500 students. Consistently ranked as one of Minnesota’s top school districts, US News ranked it #7 among all Minnesota High Schools in 2016. The district includes six elementary schools (gr. K-5), two middle schools (gr. 6-9), and one high school (gr. 10-12). The award-winning Edina Family Center provides early learning opportunities for young children and their families.
